Previously, Maggie Auger was involved in Algonquin’s municipal government. She served as chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission from 1999 – 2010. She also served on the Plan Commission as a member and a chairperson. Prior to her role on the Plan Commission, she served on the Economic Development commission, initially as a member, then as the Chairperson. Maggie has volunteered in several community events and school activities as her children were growing up. Maggie Auger has been a resident of Algonquin since 1987 and has resided in Kane County since 1994. She is married to Ray Auger and they have two adult children. Maggie graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1978 with a Bachelors of Science degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. After teaching for a couple of years, she went to Law School at Northern Illinois University. She graduated in May 1983 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1983. She has been employed at a general practice law firm in Crystal Lake, Illinois since 1994, and continues to practice law in Kane and McHenry County. She also serves as an Arbitrator in McHenry County and is a member of the Kane County Bar Association. |
Maggie Auger was elected to the Kane County Board in 2010 for a two year term. She has served on numerous committees, including the
