Dear Voters, Supporters & Volunteers:
I would like to wish the residents of District #23 a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
Now that the filing period has closed, I will be running unopposed as the Republican candidate for Kane County Board in District #23 in the March 20, 2012 primary election.
I have diligently worked to serve the residents of the district as well as serve all the taxpayers of Kane County. I would be honored to continue to serve on the Board if re-elected by the District #23 voters in portions of Algonquin and Carpentersville, unincorporated Dundee Township north of Huntley Road, and the Lake Marian neighborhood.
In my first term in office I serve on numerous committees, such as the Judicial and Public Safety Committee, the Development Committee, the Legislative Committee, and the Legal Affairs Committee. I chair the Public Aid Committee, serve on the Property Maintenance Task Force and served on the Animal Control Task Force. I am also the Kane County alternate member to the Northwest Water Planning Alliance Executive Committee.
As a County Board member, I voted to reduce the size of the board from 26 members to 24 members. This puts Kane County on par with surrounding counties and results in a cost savings to the taxpayers. I also voted to keep the Kane County Levy flat for 2012.
If re-elected I will:
-Promote fiscal responsibility
-Work to improve economic development and job creation
-Advocate for transportation improvements, and
-Promote quality of life improvements in Kane County.
With your support, we can accomplish these goals and make Kane County an even better place to live. If re-elected I will continue to work hard for Kane County. I would be honored to have your support in the next election.
Sincerely
Maggie Auger
Kane County Board Dist. #23
